This is the part most people worry about, so here is exactly what happens when you enter your birthday.
We're being precise rather than flattering here: your chart is derived from your birth details, so in principle someone could work backwards from it. But it travels without your name, your email, or your IP address attached, so it arrives as eight characters belonging to nobody in particular. And we don't keep it.
Google (Gemini). The AI that writes your reading is Google's. Your chart is sent to their API — never your birthday, and never your IP address, since the request comes from our server rather than your browser. We're currently on Google's free tier, which means Google may use what we send to improve their models. We'd rather they didn't, and we intend to move to a paid tier where that doesn't happen. We're telling you now instead of waiting until it's convenient.
Netlify. Our site is hosted by Netlify, who keep standard server logs (IP addresses, timestamps, which page was requested) the way every web host does. We don't add anything to those logs, and we don't put your chart in them.
If you enter your email after your reading, we keep it. It's the one piece of personal information we actually store. We use it for exactly one thing: telling you when new readings are ready. No newsletters you didn't ask for, no selling it, no passing it to anyone else.
Emails are stored by Netlify's form service. Your email is never linked to your chart or your reading — we have no way to connect them, because we never kept the chart in the first place.
There's a clock on it. We delete your email twelve months after you give it to us, whether you ask us to or not. If we haven't built anything worth telling you about by then, your address has no business sitting in our list — so it goes. You don't have to do anything, and we won't email you asking permission to keep it.
If twelve months feels long, it's shorter than that in practice: ask us to forget you and it's gone within a week.
Whoever and wherever you are, you can ask us to:
Email us and we'll do it. There's no form to fill in and no hoops. If you're in the EU or UK, this is your GDPR right; we'd do it anyway.
If you'd rather not write an email, there's a one-field page for it: forget me.
We don't set any. There's no analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker on this site.
SAJUMARK isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
If we change how any of this works — for example, when we move off Google's free tier — we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your email, we'll tell you directly.
